Cargobase Launches Provider Performance Rating Service
[Singapore, 6 January 2020] – Cargobase, the platform for enterprise shippers to manage on-demand freight announced the launch of their Provider Performance Rating service. Logistics operations can now rate their providers’ performance once a shipment has reached its final destination. Shippers rate the providers on a scale of 1 to 5 on pricing, timing, communication, and overall performance.
Since inception, the Cargobase platform has kicked off each year with a major feature release. In 2019 Cargobase launched an automated rate card feature for ocean, air and road freight. This year sees the launch of the much-requested Provider Performance Rating service.
Rating supports shippers to better understand the logistics providers performance and true capabilities. A shipper can now get a clear insight into the providers’ performance on lanes, from/to a particular location and freight modes, on top of the already available financial performance data.
The feature also creates opportunities for logistics providers, especially with the on-going trend of enterprise shippers being keen to include and test out new providers in their private pool for on-demand logistics prior to engaging them for long-term business.

The rating feature went live in Beta last September and is now fully available for all shippers in their browser. The feature will be available end-Q1 on the Cargobase On-The-Go mobile app.
Additionally, Cargobase has seen its platform usage grow to 41 countries in 2019 and will make the platform available in two new languages, Spanish and French, on top of the existing languages options of English, German and Chinese.
